Soil of the Year 2023: Arable soil - recordings of festive event now online

On 05.12.2022, International Soil Day, "Arable Soil" was proclaimed Soil of the Year 2023 in Germany. The BonaRes Centre for Soil Research is patron for the “Arable soil” in 2023.

The aim of the “Soil of the Year” campaign, is to draw attention to the importance and diverse functions of agriculturally used soils in Germany as well as the dangers to which they are exposed and to initiate a more intensive social debate on sustainable soil use.

With a view to current research results, further events and information are to follow in 2023.
