The BonaRes Data Centre invited international experts from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Scotland, and the U. S. on 12th – 13th October 2016 to join a workshop on soil and agricultural science, data quality, data base management, publication of research data and data policy. Existing standards and regulations were under discussion, conflicts between competing standards were named, possible gaps were identified, experiences from similar projects were exchanged and recommendations were made. The results will influence BonaRes’ data policy and its “Agreement on Standards for BonaRes” which are developed at the Bonares Data Centre at the moment and which can be classified as guideline for all users of the data warehouse.
